1) Describe how jobs have evolved since year 1990 until 2010
Jobs have come simpler in some ways then others. The technology that is used now is used to make jobs simpler for people. They have become simpler to create things, and simpler to get something done. Yet, at the same time, they’ve also become more difficult to use. They have more advanced buttons and/or applications that do more advanced things. It also makes jobs get done faster then if we didn’t have this technology.
2) Discuss the typical levels of technology based (communications) technology and types of education requires for each
The typical levels of technology-based knowledge are rather high. In every day life now, everyone knows how to work the main basics of a computer. To get into a job that requires you to use certain programs to do that job is high. Most jobs now a days conclude of a computer in at least one part of the job. Schools have had to adapt to the growing changes in society and include computer classes into the curriculum of the students. It is now a required class, or subject to take, so that students properly learn about how a computer works and what is the proper way to use the computer.
3) Identify the factors that effect job satisfaction
Some factors that effect job satisfaction is the ability to learn how to use new programs. If you don’t know how to work the programs on the computer, or the computer itself, you will never be able to work in most jobs. Some other factors that would affect the job would be the ability to quickly use the technology. If you are a learner, but it takes you a while to figure out, they might not want to keep you around. They will probably find someone who knows how to use the program.
4) Describe the ways that individuals exercise control over technology
Ways that individuals exercise control over technology, would be to get knowledge on as many technology devices as you can. The more devices you know how to use, the better off you’ll be in the future for jobs and interviews.
5) Describe some technology first introduced as fiction that have become actual reality
Some technologies first introduced, as just a dream would be the telephone, computer, car, cellular device, projector, spacecraft, airplane, and submarine. People have always dreamed of all of these things, and eventually, through hard work, have become reality. When the phone came out into the public, people were so fascinated by this, they wondered if it would one day be portable, which then came the birth of the cell phone. People thought of all of these examples above, and every time one has come to life, they’ve thought of ways to make them better, faster, smaller, and sleeker. People thought that man would never set foot on the moon, yet Neil Armstrong broke that thought when he was shot off into space with his crew.
